On April 4th 2004 Uncle Ralph ran an article criticizing John Kerry for his stance on Iraq. What follows is some of the responses that Uncle Ralph Received.
I don't want
the country to run.... But I don't want Kerry in there. Do some of this new
Army information gathering technique we have, called reading, and you will
find that Sen. Kerry voted against a number of defense measures and weapons
that we now have. Bush has his faults too. I would voice them but If I do
then I will face the possibility of having my commission revoked and some
jail time. I will not vote for either of them in the next election. I do
however wish that there was a candidate running for the oval office that
hasn't been around and corrupted by years of political service. You ever
thought of running? It's a good
thing Bush isn't being a wuss. I do have to admit it's about time. He
does, however, need to come up with a good exit-plan out of Iraq. I think
we should do it by way of Syria or Iran and take those trouble makers out of
the picture, too. -

Amen and amen! We are a four generation Navy family, beginning with WWII, and, like we said before - these colors don't run! Our family also is represented by Army, (35 year hitch with two tours in Nam), Airforce, and Marines so I know whereof I speak. If this country ever falls, it won't be from failure of the armed forces - it will be from inside by the likes of wimps and softies who run when the going gets rough. God bless our service people and God bless America! - K.D.
I agree with you 100% on your stand
on the issue of fighting terrorism that you brought up in your last newsletter.
If we back down now, the terrorists will regroup and come back bigger and
meaner, and with a vengeance that would make 9-11 look like a Sunday picnic.
Our entire WORLD is looking at the U.S. and how we handle this situation.
Taking our troops home now would make us look like yellow dogs running home with
our tail between our legs, wimpering, saying we give up. I'll admit, I'm not a
Democrat. I'm proud to say that I did vote for President George W. Bush in the
last election, even though he has made some decisions that I don't agree with.
I believe that if Senator John Kerry is elected President, there will be a lot
worse times for us ahead than we're facing right now. I don't like him and I
don't trust him to do what's right for this country. Ok, I've spoke my piece.
It will be interesting to hear what your other readers have to say about this! -

Atta Boy, Uncle Ralph... Well said. We sent our finest over there to clean out the house of terrorism, like we would a crack house over here. It just aint a clean house if the dirt just gets swept under a rug and left there.
I'm a Teamster, and they're encouraging me to vote for Democratic candidates. These candidates need to know that I for one am expecting them to take a more aggressive stance on our need to eliminate all terrorism from our list of worries now and forever.
Just so you know, thanks to the website link you provided for Sen. Kerry, I have fired off an e-mail to his office expressing this opinion.
Thanks for what you do. - D.C.
You Sir, are on target. - C.N.

I agree with you that we have to support our troops, give them all they need to successfully complete their mission. They are our brave men and women doing what they have been directed to do. Cheer them, morn with them (and their families) over lost ones and hope for a quick completion of their mission.
However, what are they doing there in the first place? They are there because
their "Commander in Chief" ordered them to be there. He started a war with a
country who didn't
commit one act of agression against America. Saddam may have killed a lot of
his own people land and been a brutal dictator, but what right did we have to
invade that country? President Bush (#43) said they had WMDs (which proved
out to be false) and even if they had he could never have delivered himself to
mainland USA. He could have given (sold) them lto terrorist organizations
like Bin Laden's group but then so could have North Korea or other rogue
states.
I believe #43 has misled this country. He's allinated long time world
partners. He's ruined our economy and now he's hiding out at his Texas ranch,
letting Condi Rice take the heat.
The sooner he gose the better. G.M. Florida
Great comments Uncle Ralph. I could not agree more or said it better myself. - P.G.
Right on Uncle Ralph. You didn't lose me as a reader. We stand to lose a lot of young folks lives for nothing if we stop now. We cannot and never could depend on any other country to protest us. Fk the Frogs and all the others whom we have bailed out over and over only to have them turn their backs on us. We don't need them! - Hillbilly My son just came back from Iraq and soon will have to go back. He not only narrowly escaped death or injury many times, but he had to collect the body parts of a years-long dear friend who was killed near him. It's easy to say "We need to do it" when you don't actually have to DO IT. - K.D. [Uncle Ralph's additional comments: You raise an excellent point. Of course I would gladly go in place of one of my loved ones. But that isn't possible. For what needs to be done I have thankful we have men and women that are willing and able to do it. I would love to hear from some of the people that actually have to "DO IT". ] you rock! I agree with what you have to say and you won't lose this piece of trailer trash. i just wish the powers that be would get on with it and be done with it... - psychocybil51 HERE HERE unc - Mike
Uncle Ralph. I am a veteran and I couldn't have said it any better. Thank
